July Wishes / Goals + Some Fun Birthday Facts

Hi friends! Happy 1st of July. I love July because it's my birthday month and I seriously love my birthday! It's like my own personal holiday where I get presents! It makes me want to jump up and down with excitement, and yes, I've been known to do that.

Here are some things you should know about me and my birthday:

1. I always come up with a reason to celebrate big each year! This year is my last birthday in the 20's and that's definitely a reason to celebrate big! 

2. I usually start my birthday list on July 24th (my birthday is on the 23rd). Ok, that's a joke but I really do send out my birthday list 3-6 months in advance. I only sent it out 1 month early this year. Sad, I know. 

3. Because I am on top of things and send out that list super early I have to send monthly reminders to people (mainly family) letting them know my birthday is "such and such" months away. 

4. Although I'm pretty vain about my birthday I do love to treat others on my birthday. I usually have a little goodie bag or some type of small gifts for friends. It's fun! For a few birthdays I've tried to sponsor a missionary or do something for someone else. I highly recommend it! 

5. After I'm vain and conceited about my birthday and gifts I'm always so humbled and think "Why was I so obsessed about my birthday and gifts?"

6. That humbled feeling I just mentioned is quickly forgotten on July, 24th. ha ha!

7. I love being around family and friends! It's one day a year that so many people I love, and that love me all get to be together at the same time. 

What I'm Looking Forward to This Month

1. Gifts! Enough said.

2. Time with Dave. Birthday's being married are just fun! 

3. Time with family.

5. Trip to see my friend Amanda aka The Lady Okie. I don't have a date picked but I'm gonna make it happen in July =) I haven't even told her this yet. ha ha! Get ready, Amanda. 

6. Blog Giveaways! I'll be doing some small giveaways throughout the month on various social media platform. Plus, I'll be doing a giveaway of some of my favorite things so stay tuned! I'm excited to bring you all into this birthday fun. In fact, let's just do a little giveaway now! Just leave me a comment and I'll throw all your names into a bag and draw them out. I'll probably be sending a canvas burlap bag I paint and who knows what else =) I'll leave the giveaway open until Friday morning.

7. Dresses - I'm on a mission to wear my dresses this month. I have so many but they just sit in my closet for a long time. Not this month!

8. Running - I'm setting a goal to run 3 times a week. Crossing my fingers!

9. Blueberry Picking! You read that right. I'm going blueberry picking this weekend. I've always wanted to go and decided NOW is the time.

10. Bible Memorization - Remember yesterday's post on community? Well, me and some other women here in Woodward are going to start memorizing Bible verses together. I'm looking forward to it.
