You all had questions about food too! What I miss (CHEESE!) and some other really good questions. I do have a few upcoming posts about what we eat over here in Myanmar and what grocery shopping looks like for us.

Watching your eyes get really fired up and you get really intense as you talked about your hangers and clothes was hilarious!!! I've never ever even thought once about matching hangers to tell you the truth. I also laughed out loud at the part where you said you had 5 lattes.... Except you don't feel guilty about it hahaha. Just hearing you talk about all the different Christians you've met overseas gives me such a beautiful picture of the body of Christ- how neat that you get to experience that every day! I loved the vlogs! Also, Israel is so worth the money- I've been there once and would love to go again. My pet peeve is people flaking out on commitments (grrrrr) and my guilty pleasure is definitely French fries haha (you probably already knew that).
ReplyDeleteI do that to my closet too! Except mine goes tank tops, t shirts, long sleeved shirts, sweatshirts, extra dressy shirts, and finally, dresses. My hangers don't have to match though, they just need to be plastic. I HATE metal hangers! I thought I was the only one that was so picky about my closet!
ReplyDeleteMy guilty pleasure is ice cream. A lot of ice cream.
One pet peeve: being late for a movie at a movie theatre. And I mean, if we get there for the start of the movie we are late. I need to be there when the previews start.
If you move to Pensacola Beach, I will come visit you!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I knew you would say you loved blogging about missions the best :) See how well I know you?
I didn't know that about your closet! That is super weird! haha. You would NOT like to see my closet. It's not like that at all.
I have no idea where my hanger OCD comes from. It is weird! The 5 lattes is pretty bad. I probably shouldn't do that often but sometimes I can't help it.
ReplyDeleteIsrael - I do want to go 100% I am just not sure when. The school here in Myanmar is putting a trip together. I think for each person it will be over $3,000. Dave has been before I think 3x. We figured if we are in SE Asia we might see some sights around here before taking a big trip to Israel. When did you go? How long did you go for?
Flaking out on commitments - AMEN! It is so annoying. I've lost a few friends because of that. Not because I have bad feelings towards them but they flaked out over and over and we just never saw each other anymore. FRENCH FRIES! YES! I actually went to th grocery store the other day to pick up veggies for dinner and they somehow had imported frozen french fries. Potatoes are a vegetable so I guess I did accomplish my mission.
DO you have a favorite place to get fries from?
Yay for another closet OCD friend. Do you do that for your daughters clothes too? I'm sure I'll do that for my kids someday. Yes to the plastic hangers! All mine are plastic. The wire ones were a design mistake.
ReplyDeleteICE CREAM! Ice cream is so good! and now I want some!
I can understand being annoyed at being late. Dave and I don't normally go to the movies but I always like to be early for everything!!! The previews are fun to see. Plus I like seeing the floor and making sure nothing weird is on there (bugs) before they dim the lights.
P'cola! Sounds like a deal. If I move there I might cry and be happy at the same time. It's far from home BUT they do have pretty beaches.
ReplyDeleteYeah, messy closets - I just can't do them! But I can throw my clothes on a pile in the floor ... weird!
Oh wow that's great Dave has been so that he can be your tour guide! I went in Summer 2012 for 10 days with my family and it was wonderful- I can't wait to go back. I think now that you're on that side of the Atlantic you might as well go there since flights are so pricey! Any sort of sight seeing before you come back would be worth it from a plane tickets sake :)
ReplyDeleteI can imagine how excited you must have been to see those fries at the grocery store! potatoes are totally vegetables :) I like fries from all over but I think Red Robin (the big steak fries) are my favorite.
Sweet vlog. I especially appreciated the part about what God has been teaching you while overseas. Thanks for sharing with us your adventures, lessons and life in general! :-) Blessings.
ReplyDeleteHi Joy! Thanks for the sweet comment and kind words. I always feel bad for such delays in replies but Myanmar and the internet just haven't been a good combo lately.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I could share with you what God is teaching us. I'm thankful He still is teaching us!
