Friday Letters. Myanmar Edition 2

Dear Friends, It is October! How is this even possible? Before I share anything else I want to open the invite for you to join us in reading the book of Proverbs this month.  October has 31 days and Proverbs has 31 chapters. We are reading a chapter a day and it is okay if you jump in on day 3 (or 13)! I'll be posting a picture on IG every now and then so we can all share something God has showed us.

Dear 4 Year Old Juliet, You come from a Buddhist home and at the beginning of the year I couldn't get you to sit quietly for anything but over these past few months, especially when we tell the Bible stories, I can see that Jesus' love is capturing your heart. This week you stopped me mid sentence to say "Teacher, I love Jesus!". The sincerity in your face just blew me away and I'm so glad that the gospel of Jesus is powerful and captivating.

Dear Myanmar, You are already so weird with your money but I find it funny that stores never have proper change. This week when you didn't have change the clerk just shrugged his shoulders and handed me over two packs of tissues. I thought that was funny.

Dear Cheap Fake Chinese iPhone, I finally was enlightened and learned that you can be a hotspot for my computer which means I get wifi at home. Granted it is super super slow (except for early in the mornings) but I'll take it! That means I can sometimes blog from my own home, which is miraculous here.

Dear Family and Friends, I will write a full post about this some day but thank you, thank you, thank you for all the love and support you have shown us this past year while we are in Myanmar. Dave and I are so thankful for each of you.

Dear Whoever said the following, "The roaches are more scared of you than you are of them." You lied. I'm 100% positive I'm more scared of 3" flying roaches than they are of me.

Dear Friend, How was your week? What was the best part?
