Puffins!
It's where it is at you guys! These are soooo good!
When I was in Korea my friend Chelsea shared some puffins with us and then she posted a picture on Instagram a while back and I knew I had to try them. She shared the recipe with me and I'm sharing it with you today.
If you make these you will have to let me know what you think about them. Sometimes after living abroad for a while, anything American taste extra incredible and delicious. But seriously a muffin rolled in butter and then sugar and cinnamon? How can you go wrong? I think they sound perfect for fall.
They are also really easy to whip together. You don't need beaters or anything like that just a couple of bowls and a pan to melt your butter in.
Puffins
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. white sugar
1/4 c. melter butter
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
-Mix together the flour, baking powder and cinnamon and set aside.
-Melt the butter and stir it into the sugar.
-Mix the dry ingredients and butter/sugar mixture together. Stir in the milk and vanilla.
-Bake in muffin tins at 200 degrees F (100 C) for 10-15 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. There is no need to oil your muffin pan because the butter in here does this for you.
Puffin Topping
1/4 c. melted butter - set aside
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
-Mix together the sugars and cinnamon
-When the puffins are done baking remove them from the muffin tins, quickly roll them in the butter and then dip them in the sugar mixture.
-Best served warm
