Welcome! We are so glad you are here! I'm Beka. He's Dave. We call Wichita, Kansas home but are always open to moving where God calls us.

Sunshine to the Square Inch began in 2012 as a way to document my journey as I taught English in South Korea to some of the cutest kids I've ever seen. I finished teaching in February of 2013, moved back to the US, and after having dated long distance for a year, married my best friend the next month in March of 2013. 

Right after getting married we lived in a teeny tiny town in Western Oklahoma. While my husband spent his days working as a PA in the prison I used my free time to develop this blog into a lifestyle and travel blog. A year and a half later, November of 2014 to be exact, we took a big step of faith and moved to Asia where we committed to serve as missionaries for one year. We spent our year in Burma and Thailand and worked along side missionaries to share the gospel through teaching, medical clinics and prison ministries.

In December of 2015 we moved back to America, traveled the west coast and are now settling down in Kansas, where we can truly say, "there is no place like home." We love being active in our church, running, crossfit and traveling.

We hope this place will will be a space to glorify God and to offer encouragement to you as we share about what God is doing world wide! We are humbled, excited and thankful to be a part of His work wherever we are.
