Hi Friends! Today is MY BIRTHDAY! And if you haven't heard I love my birthday! I've gathered some of my favorite things and am giving them away to one awesome reader.

ReplyDeleteWhich birthday or present were my favorite, is a difficult question...But I think if I had to choose, the best present was from one of my brothers: Taking a set-pattern dance class with me! This present lastet for a whole year and each week I got to spend time with him and be horrible at dancing (We hadn't thought about the leading part...we couldn't quite decide :D)

ReplyDeleteI used to be in love with trolls. When I turned 8, my mom bought a dozen baby-sized trolls and hid them for me to find throughout the day (in my school lunch, taped to the TV, in my coat pocket, etc.) At the end of the day, I got a big troll plus cake and ice cream. It was awesome! Best birthday ever!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday gift was probably my REI mummy sleeping bag (in a gorgeous ice blue color, with raspberry colored lining inside!) that I got when I turned 17! I loved it so much that I took it to youth camp, mission trips, family beach vacation, and would randomly sleep in it on the floor instead of in my bed! My family thought I was nuts, but I just love that sleeping bag so much!!! Nerd alert :)

ReplyDeleteI also have to tell you that I decided to do some things for others today and it was really fun. I didn't do one for each year like you did but I still had a great time. I went to the senior center and gave them cupcakes and they just loved it! =-) Thanks for the inspiration.

ReplyDeleteThat is so funny that you slept on the floor! I can totally understand the sleeping bag obsession because I have a mummy sleeping bag and it is super comfortable. I don't think mine is REI but I know I partially picked it because it was a bright teal =).

ReplyDeleteI asked for an on-line class about photography composition because I wanted gifts that weren't 'things' but yet useful. Have you heard of Photography Concentrate? That is who the class is from. I highly recommend them. =)
I got a tablet last year on my birthday and that was the BEST present ever!

ReplyDeleteI have a Canon Rebel T3. It's a starter camera for sure, but has been great for me to learn on. I used Photoshop at work, but didn't want to fork over that much money so got Photoshop Elements. It's doesn't have as extensive tool uses, but is still pretty close and has a lot of great features.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of Photography Concentrate, but I'm planning on getting an associates and going to school for photography in the next year or so. The military will be paying so I figured it's a good way to go :)

ReplyDeleteAnd as far as my most memorable birthday...it would have to have been my 16th birthday. It was my last birthday with my mom and as was tradition, we had an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen and the two gifts I got were a promise ring (True Love Waits) and a guitar. I still have that ring on a necklace that I treasure.
